Does Google voice work on the t-mobile mytouch 4g?

Just anyone who has this phone and is using Google voice on it. Please give me some input.|||Yes, it works just fine - it works on all Android phones running Android 1.5 and higher. You would obviously require to create a Google Voice account with a number, and make sure that you download the Google Voice application from the Android Market for your phone.

A lot of people are confused about what "Google Voice" is and does. This service does NOT allow you to make calls over the Internet like Skype does. Google Voice requires that you have a voice plan with your phone - it will still tax your allotted monthly voice minutes.

However, if you have a data plan (which you most likely do if you have the MyTouch 4G), then you will have UNLIMITED %26amp; FREE text messaging when using Google Voice. This means that you do not require a Text Messaging plan from your phone carrier - because the text messages are sent using your data plan (Internet).

I have been using it for years (the company was called Grand Central prior to Google's purchase of it). I use my Google Voice number exclusively for all of my incoming and outgoing calls.
